Daicon was a small sci-fi, comic book, and anime convention that occurred in Osaka throughout the early eighties. With a low budget Daicon commissioned five out of work animators to put together a trailer for their convention. With a minimal budget this was what they created. Those five animator would go on to create Gainax studios.
Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gurren Lagaan, Fooly Cooly, and many other animes would have never been created if not for this trailer. However, this trailer can not be copyrighted due to the appearance of so many scifi and comic book characters. Laser Disc copies of this trailer easily go for over $1,000.
